The Sevilla Maymester program provides a unique experience for Business Spanish students. The course will provide both a theoretical and a practical orientation to the Hispanic business practices and culture. There are two components to the course. One will be devoted to the study of commercial practices and their underlying cultural values and beliefs. The other will consist of class-time being used for visits to businesses and financial institutions, and presentations given by guest speakers who are business professionals in Marketing, Finance and Import-Export commerce.

The objective of this course is to increase the students' knowledge of the nature of doing business in the Hispanic culture.
A deeper understanding of the workings of a commercial enterprise model different from the Anglo-American model will provide the students with a broader, more creative, more responsive approach to doing business in the ever-increasing domestic Hispanic market in the U.S. as well as in the global markets of Spain, the Caribbean countries, Central and South America
